I'm not Catholic or Christian, but my friend got annoyed by the fact that I've never experienced any of the amazing times she/he's had at church. Tomorrow, my friend decided to take me to his/her church. Really, what I'm expecting is an ordinary classroom with a Bible at every desk. Not much, but there is going to be a White Elephant there tomorrow.
What was your first church experience like? What should I expect? Thx for all the answers! :)
Update:I'm trying to hide my friend's gender.

The first time I went to church on a Sunday was 2 years ago when I was 14 (2 months away from being 15) and it was interesting and definitely a new experience for me. It was a small Baptist church near me. It was kinda awkward when people were hugging me. But still the people there were really nice. I also was also not forced to go there btw, I actually wanted to go because I wasn't raised religious but started to want to become serious about being a Christian so I started visiting some churches in my area and researching different denominations of Christianity to decide which beliefs I agreed with the most and which church I liked the most. I'm 17 now and still doing this.
I'm trying to forget my church experiences.
Since when do churches have desks?
when I was baptized, I guess....
I am dense. Why is your friend both male and female? Do you actually WANT to go to a church? If not, why on earth would you go?
Every church is going to be a little bit different. Have fun, and please try not to snicker too loudly.
Catholic is Christian as is Orthodox and Trinitarian Protestant
I guess when they cut the tip of my dićk off. there was bad blood between us since then.
what experience.
you should ask him her. why should we pray in that way, why not in another way else?
