ever since i had my daughter i have suffered really bad pins and needles .....?
in my arms and legs! she is three now but it's since i had her it evan wakes me up in the night and it gets painful sometimes - it prob nothing to do with having my child but its just i no i never got this before has anyone else had this and is it anything toworry about? i feel silly going to the doctors about pins and needles but sometimes i cant feel my leg then get it very painfully

if its in your wrists & hands then its called carpel tunnel syndrome. you can get a similar thing in your legs & its caused by inflammation & pressure on your nerves. its very common during pregnancy but you don`t have to be pregnant to have it.
go to see your gp, he`ll be able to arrange for you to have some support splints for your wrists that`ll help. it goes away in time but on rare occaisions it does`nt & you need to have an operation to release the pressure (day case op).
i had this after having my eldest. i was prescribed splints which did the trick & i did`nt need the op. i kept the splints then when i was pregnant with my son, i started getting the same symptoms so wore the splints again, same result.
your gp may also suggest some anti inflammatory medication too. the link below describes it in more detail plus suggests some natural remedies that can help.

I had this when I was pregnant with my daughter.Its called carpel tunnel syndrome, which is severe pain like pins and needles. I used to get it in both my arms and it used to wake me up at night in a lot of pain. I asked midwife about it at the time and they said it was normal, but there is no cure. As your saying this happened after you have had your child its perhaps worth getting it checked out, but it should go in time. I hope you get this sorted as I know how debilataing it can be.

this could be nothing more than a trapped nerve (bad enough in its own right) but if its a blood clot or - God forbid - something more sinister, you need to be seen urgently. Your body is telling you something is wrong, seriously, listen to it.
