How is their service?
The Cost/Price?
Good experiences or Bad Experiences?
Better than Blockbuster?
I'm more interested in people's personal experiences don't really want to hear what the website has to say b/c I've already read it. Prefer consumer perspective. Thanks : )

I haven't had many problems with their service, I've been a member since 2006. I've had to send back maybe 3 dvds the entire time that I've had the service because they've been damaged or they sent the wrong dvds. But you just click a button saying it's damaged or not what you ordered and the next day I'd get the dvd I wanted. I have the unlimited 3 at a time plan and pay $18 a month (taxes included), I used to have 4 at a time, but they wanted almost $30 for it, and I felt that was too much extra for just 1 more dvd. However you can get 8 at a time for $50 a month. Once in a while it will take an extra day or 2 for a dvd to come because it's shipped from a netflix center not in my area. I live in MI and I usually get DVDs from Lansing, MI but once in a while they don't have a DVD I request, so it comes from Maryland. I tried the blockbuster total access, but you can only get 3 in store movies a month, and the closest blockbuster is a 15 minute ride on the other side of town, so it really isn't worth it for me. I would spend more money in gas than what it's worth, and I rarely go to that side of town just for the heck of it.
I would suggest blockbuster however if you want new releases when they are released. It took about 2 months for me to get Juno with netflix. So if you're into new releases and want them when they come out, then blockbuster is probably better for you, but if you're like me and enjoy watching older movies (as well as a new release once in a while) then netflix is better. Netflix has more titles available, and if you have a PC with Internet explorer or an xbox 360 you can watch over 7,000 movies on your PC. For me that makes up for not having new releases, because even though I have to send movies back and fourth, I can watch a ton of movies and tv shows whenever I want on my pc. So on the 2 days that I don't have dvd's and Sunday's (if I haven't watched my 3 dvds) I watch the dvds that are streamed online.
I've had a good experience with Netflix myself. The service is really good.
I've had times when a movie has shown up broken, or it constantly froze and was never charged for it...all they said was to send it back and they'd send another one.
It normally takes 1-3 days to recieve the movies.
The cost is pretty good...they have different plans depending on your viewing habits. I have the one unlimited right now, which means that I can rent as many titles as I want during a month and that I have one DVD out at a time...I watch a DVD every week. You can also watch the movies online, which doesn't cost extra.
There are absolutely no late fees. I once had a DVD for three months and all Netflix did was send me a reminder every month telling me that I still had that DVD. So they don't hound you.
And although Blockbuster has the plan where you can return movies to their store locations and rent another they may or may not have the title you want in stock, plus this day when gas costs so much you have to question if driving to the store location is actually worth it. I used to know a few people who had Blockbuster, and they told me that the descritions of the films weren't all that great.
I myself have never tried Blockbuster, so I can't tell you whether or not Blockbuster is better or worse.
I've had netflix for several years my husband and I love it. A lot of people like the convenience of Blockbuster better because you can return movies at the store and pick up movies there too.I love Netflix because I can get anything! I mean anything! My husband loves all those old horror movies that used to come on late at night on the weekends with Elvira the mistress of the Dark...yeah you know which ones I'm talking about...all those "B" grade horror movies that were just entertaining. Anyway, he can even get them there. They are always trying to make sure your happy and getting speedy service because they send out emails periodically to see when you got something and when you sent something back.
I prefer Blockbuster because I can return movies directly to the store and get another one right away. Also, my account gives me two free rentals every month, which I can also use on video games.
The people I know who have Netflix say they have a better movie selection, but everytime I requested a movie from Blockbuster they got it within a reasonable amount of time.
We really enjoy getting Netflix. We almost always have a movie available because they are very reliable when it comes to shipping out your movies. We must have gotten over 200 movies by now and only 1 disc didn't play. We haven't gotten Blockbuster, so I can't compare it to that. Otherwise, I love getting Netflix.
I have the 2 at a time plan for $14.00 a month. The movies get to you in one business day and then you just return them in a self addressed paid envelope.
To me they're better than Blockbuster because they have a better and larger selection.
No bad experiences. I did get one DVD that was scratched so bad it wouldn't play, but Netflix replaced it ASAP once I reported the problem.
We use netflix and it's great! I 've never tried the blockbuster thing, but i will assure you that Netflix is the way to go. It's super cheap and you get a great deal. We've been using it for the past 4 years and have never had any service problems, and-- no late fees!
netflix movie rentals
It is great because the movie gets to your house like two or three day after you send in your other movie. Also the movies are in good condition not scratched up like some of the Blockbuster movies. It is awesome I would defiantly recommend I use to not like movies so much now i love them
The service is very good
The cost is very fair
Very good experience with them they have replaced 5 missing movies over 1 year
No opinion have never used Blockbuster
