My step-mil made this cake once-OMG it was amazing. I asked her for the recipe but I guess she doesn't want to give it out, that or she forgot that I asked. It has strawberry cake mix, pineapple chunks & pineapple juice, & strawberry chunks. Beyond that idk what is in it. The cake was so unbelievably moist, she mentioned using the pineapple juice to make it so moist when she served it that one time. Anyone know what this is, ingredients or how to make it? Thanks!

It sounds like a dump cake to me:
1 can pineapple (chunks, tidbits, whatever)
1 can (15 oz.) strawberry pie filling
1 box yellow (or strawberry, if you prefer) cake mix
1 C butter
1 C chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 325° F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2; pan or baking dish.
Empty the can of pineapple, including juice, into the greased pan. Pour the
strawberry pie filling over the pineapple, spread evenly. Dump the dry cake
mix over the top of the pie filling. Gently spread to cover. Slice butter
into pats and layer on top of cake mix in pan. Cover with layer of nuts. Bake
in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until brown. Cool cake completely in the
pan. Scoop out a serving and serve with vanilla ice cream, or allow to
completely cool before indulging.
Hope that works for you.
We need more information to help you, where were the chunks, baked inside the cake, or on the cake as a frosting? did it have a frosting? or it looked like a loaf or tea cake? what did look like?
Could it be this one?
