When I was 13 I was extremely self conscious about my skin too and I wore foundation, concealer, blush, mascara, eye liner, and lip balm/lipstick/gloss layered on top of each other. It is a lot but it did really help my self esteem so I don't think a lot of makeup is a bad thing as long as you don't look trashy.

btw you will grow out of it. 13 is a really bad year!

I bet you look nice with make up but wearing a little to much will make your skin un happy lol of course it is your choice :) but maybe don't wear it every single day :)

no im thirteen and thats exactly what i wear just done let it look caked and make sure the foundation matches your skin color! :) oh yeah and dont forget to wash it off at night cuz thats unhealthy for your skin

But as you said you're frightened to leave the house without makeup, make sure you're in a good skincare routine. It's very important to cleanse and moisturise twice daily - morning and night. If you're wearing foundation, take extra time to clean your face properly, to unblock pores and scrub away the day's dirt.

Yes. You should be wearing a good moisturizer and a non-pore clogging foundation like Bare Minerals with the blush if you like, but the powder on top of that will give you a cake-face. And you are only 13? Wearing all that is going to give you worse acne.

I feel your pain! I used to have acne and i would often use make up to cover it up, however i found that just applying moisturizer to my skin helped improve the acne. There is that crossover when stopping using foundation in when your skin will be noticeably bumpy, however that's what being a teenager is all about. There are others your age with bad skin, perhaps investing in skin controlling medication would be worthwhile. It certainly helped my skin incredibly! I used a pill called iIsotretinoin which improved my skin largely and now don't have to use any tinted moisturizer at all! Also a healthy diet, although i'm sure you would have heard, can make all the difference, it can also help your hair grow faster which is an added bonus! Hope this helped, I would recommend going to a dermatologist just to check out your skin :)

nope thats perfectly fine. Im impressed that at 13 you already kno so much about make up! So yeah as long as you dont pile on foundation which may make your skin breakout more then you're absolutely fine. Make sure you remove all your make up at the end of the day, cleanse your face, tone, and moisturise BEFORE bed. You can only do so much for your skin.
