I"m going on a trip and would like to use my laptop on the long 7 hour flight. But does it also have plug outlets, to because my laptop only has 2.5 hours of battery.
Presently Ameican Airlines has a few transcontinental flights within the US that is offering wi-fi, Southwest is also testing wi-fi on a few select flights. If you're not on one of those airlines you'll not be able to get wi-fi, although most airlines are looking into wi-fi and hopefully it won't be too long before many airlines will have wi-fi available. If you're in 1st or business class there's a good chance of having a power port in your seat. In economy many airlines are now offering power ports on some of their planes, but many more airlines don't have in-seat power than do. If you know what type of plane you'll be flying on, you can check your airline to see if power ports are available, but you'll have to use your laptop for something other than the internet.
Yes, few airlines are providing wifi services for the passengers.Airlines are trying to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services to the customers that some of the airline are providing these services & the charges for using these services are affordable. It is a good thing for the customers who are traveling in flights.
A few airlines have outlets in their coach section. Currently American Airlines offers an internet service on board their international routes. A few foreign carriers are also starting to offer the internet as well.

A few select flights on a couple of airlines. AA does some, and Alaska is about to as well.
Some airlines like Virgin Atlantic have ethernet ports built into the arm rests of seats (usually 1st class) to allow web access.
