I am a high school student and I need to start thinking about colleges. I want to be a nurse. Either Pediatric, or Neonatal, I haven't decided yet. I am pretty new to this. I want to go to College in either Arizona or California. And I am thinking I want to start in the fall of 2013. If someone could answer the following questions for me, it would help so much! Thanks
-Whats the difference between an Associate Degree in Nursing(ADN) and a Bachelor of science in Nursing(BSN)?
-How does it effect getting a job?
-Can an ADN do less than a BSN?
-Will I need to go to a different school for either of the specific nursing jobs?

ADN is a 2 year degree, BSN is a 4 year. With either degree, you are considered a licensed registered nurse. BSN is best if you plan to move up and make a career of nursing and move on to management positions. BSN is best if you simply want the shortest route and plan on just doing basic RN work your whole life.
By the way, the website below will answer all of your nursing questions. I used this site so many times in nursing school. It has care plans examples, information on nursing specialties (such as pediatric/neonatal), and much more.
God bless and you will make an awesome nurse!

ADN is 2 years and BSN is a 4 year program. If you plan on advancing in your career you will need a BSN, plus certain RNs positions require it.
Many employers are now only hiring BSNs so it can affect getting a job.
ADNs and BSNs can do the same stuff.
No you don't need to go to a certain school for a certain job.You would just a get a nursing degree for any of the jobs.
