Like those 23&^me DNA maps that tell you the chances of acquiring disease/illness X? So, running bloodwork through tests will let you know if the baby will get this or that condition? Thanks! Just curious because a lot of celebs have just been diagnosed with MS (Terri Garr, Jamie Lynn Sigler), Parkinsons (Robin Williams, Billy Connelly). I've left out CTE, since its something you are not born with (Dave Mirra, Junior Seau, etc).

Certain diseases do have a genetic component which can be seen in DNA mutations.
However, these mutations may be completely benign--they may indicate a greater likelihood of developing a disease but they are NOT a definite indication that you will get it. Likewise, you can have no 'bad' markers and still get the disease.
Some diseases like Ehlers-Danlos are autosomal dominant and can be picked up by a geniticist...except in the most common kind, which goes through familes certainly, but the responsible gene has not been found as yet.
not bloody likely.......my dad had ALS, and scoliosis and it was a real drag.......
No it cant, if a person gets any of these it can be confirmed from blood tests
