It seems harder and harder to make ends meet. Magnitory insurance every individual utility you have to pay goes up. Pay never goes up jobs are never very stable. Yet still everything keeps going up is there any relief for anyone these days I haven't seen any. So where can you go to get any relief if your on that depressing edge of loosing everything?

Think of it like a game. You have to play both defense and offense.
Defense: Cut expenses, especially recurring ones. Shop around for lower prices. Don't buy things you don't need. Give up a costly bad habit.
Offense: Work overtime. Try to get a raise or promotion. Look for a better job even when you already have one. Sell things you don't need on ebay or craigslist. Look for ways to make extra money on the side. Start a small business.
Plan and budget to make sure you are always spending less than you are bringing in.
i heard on the radio last weekend that some repbulican was quoting old data on how minimum wage had increased 95% of the time.
I said: What!!!?
i knew he was quoting government statistics! i knew right then and there he was lying and spewing forth lies.
while wages have increased in some states like California. and washington state.
or Newyork.
the rate of inflation is not 95% but 3 or 400%
therefore though wages increased in the last 20 years. the "purchasing" power has actually decreased
the 3 $ an hour i made in the 1980's has become 7 $ today.
Gasoline was 99 cents a gallon
with this example I worked roughly 20 minutes for a gallon of gas.
today the 7$ an hour a person makes or 8$ an hour, will buy a person 2 gallons of Gas, that means a person on minimum wage has to work 30 min or 45 minutes to pay for a gallon of gas. and dont forget "mandatory" insurance! in the 80's insurance wasnt mandatory. Some people pay a 100$ a month for insurance. especially 19 year olds who dont have part coverage with their parents.
thats another facist government tax which also descreases EArning and purchasing power of the dollar.
ps in the 80's there was a man on the radio that said the value of dollar at that time had been decreased by a 90cents. even though wages as compared to the great depression had been increased by well over 1200 %
you can buy a cup of coffee for ten cents, but now EVEN at Mcdonalds the price has gone up to 1.69.
inflation has gone up for the past two years by one and two percent a month i heard in ONE day it went up by 10 %. they were crying a 30% correction for the markent and the economy. but wages didnt go up 30%
purchasing power went down on every single category in the last 3 years. but wages did not go up according to TRUE inflation Wages only went up according REPORTED statitistics. There is a difference. !
pss
in order for anyone to go to work on an eight hour day they have to work the Whole first hour just to pay for the gas, if htey have to drive more than 10 or 15 miles to work one way. Some people have economy cars where they get 35 miles agallon, but they are paying 50 to 100 $ in insurance and the taxes on gas are almost all state taxes consuming away their spending ability. its all lies. and manipulation of numbers.
I think the only relief that's going to come is when the noose finally tightens too much! (lol)
I know exactly how you feel. If you need help, it's out there - you just have to look very hard. Start wit the blue pages in your phone book. Call those government offices. If they can't help you, they'll start directing you to people who can. And don't give up - keep trying! It may take quite a few phone calls, but you'll find who you need, for whatever help you need (mortgage, medical, etc.)
Good luck!
The rising price of food and gas has been a bit of a strain, but I can hardly complain too much. Billions of people around the world would love to change places with me.
There are a lot of things one can do to make ends meet - cut ot the cell phone and cable TV. Drive less. Eat simple food you prepare yourself. Have a garage sale...
