When i was in high school, i had a group of friends. We were seven. After we graduated from high school, i lost contact with 5 of my friends, and only kept in touch with 2 of my good friends. This is because I studied in the USA for four years of my college life. I missed out on a lot of high school reunions because I was still studying in the US. I gained a lot of good friends in the US but of course, I can't stay there very long. I know very well that I have to come back. 3 months ago, I landed a job back in my home country, and I've only hung out with my gf and 2 of my good friends and their girlfriends. I am actually satisfied with the circle that I have now. I'd rather have a few good friends than have a lot of friends that are not true to me at all. But people behind my back think that I'm a loser for only having this small circle=|

Your happy! That's all that counts kid! Stay happy. Your job isn't to make the world happy. Your job is to keep you happy!
My mom never went to high school reunions...She was voted for worst hair award as a superlative! She didn't have a boy friend until she was 20, her teeth were a mess and people made fun of her all the time since she had little money. You sound intelligent, cool, and very successful. I'm happy for you that you did this, and that you DID and STILL have friends! You are not a loser!! I'm a senior in high school, had only two good friends, both bailed on me. Well one turned to drxgs the other left the state. I'm the loser! I'm jealous of you, best of luck! :)
you have two choices; you can either listen to them or make up your own mind about who you are. YOu are not living life to please these people or anyone else. YOu're very, very busy individual trying to make something of yourself. First of all, having friends is a CHOICE, it is not a must. People seem to forget that. If you have a small circle, who cares! That's your personal preference.
