Gearing up to play my very first BF4 game online (PC.) Can I get some tips?
I'm kinda coming from CoD on XBox, which is an arena shooter, from what I can tell BF4 is gonna be a much different game. Not sure which server to start on either. Any help is welcome.
Planning on running the Assault class for a while (Hold E in front of a teammate to toss medkits, right?) unless told otherwise. Also planning to stay OUT of vehicles for the foreseeable future. I just had some really bad experiences on the test range, lol, gonna save that until I get my legs right.
If you want me to help seed your server, I'm sure that will be fine, just keep in mind I'm an online noob to this game in particular. I'm sure that will become evident quite quickly, lol. So feel free to spank me around a bit, but within reason, please.
Also I'd like to know about the rules and etiquette. I'm an ethical player, if I feel like something ain't right, I'll probably bail, and probably for quite a while.
Thanks in advance you guys.
Update:LOL... finally worked up the nerve. And guess what immediately happened when I clicked 'Join Server'? :/ Take a wild guess. Anyways thanks guys but nothing groundbreaking here, I may just let this go to a vote.

do single player first to get the hang of controls also by doing this you will unlock additional weapons "apparently". on bf3 noobs were advised to join ranked matches that way you'll only be playing noobs giving you a fair game it will be in the server options. it should be the same for bf4 you'll have to check, i need to check for my own knowledge if i find anything i'll update answer.
it's changed!!! now noobs should join (official) servers.
Official: Official servers have strict default settings that are tailored for new players. E.g. an official server that hosts the Defuse game mode must have the max-player-limit set to 10 players.
Ranked: Ranked servers can use settings that are slightly different than default servers. E.g. a ranked server that hosts the Defuse game mode can have the max-player-limit set to 6 players.
