A cook has x pounds of ground beef. If it takes 1/4 lb of ground beef to make one hamburger, how many hamburgers can the cook make?
4x
Since 1 pound of beef makes 4 hamburgers, the cook can make 4*x hamburgers. (4 for ever lb of beef there is.)
4 times however many pounds of beef there is, or 4x
You're definetly right! I'm guessing the answer is infinitive because you don't know the amount of pounds of ground beef. But if you are in higher levels of math, it may be x/4. Good Luck! ;)
and this is not a stupid question
