For the past two days I have been feeling extremely uncomfortable. My body feels like it is tingling and I feel sick. I have also noticed my contractions are more frequent and more painful. I have been drinking plenty of fluids, but doesn't seem to help. Baby seems fine. Went to OB office Monday and cervix closed. Have another appointment tomorrow, and assume same result. Any ideas?

Sounds like early labor. Some women just don't progress as well or quickly as others do, maybe if you are contracting but not dilating they will discuss some options about what you want to do. Also, could be your body dilating and getting ready for labor!! Good luck!!
I have been having alot of contractions lately too. I can't get mine to stop either. I am so uncomfortable and can't wait to hold my baby! I had an appt yesterday and I was barely dialating (less than 1 cm) but my cervix was really really soft. Baby only dropped like 5 days ago. I would say what you are feeling is just how your body is getting ready for the big day.
37 wks with no. 1!
You have to remember that baby is big enough to born now so they are taking up a lot of room. I am almost 39 weeks along and right around 35 or 36 weeks it started being really uncomfortable for me when she would shift. Especially when she would bunch up right under my ribs. I have a spot about 3 inches above my belly button that she has pushed on so many times that now it almost feels like a ripping sensation.
You could be going into labor. You should call your doctors office and see if maybe you should go to the hospital. Especially if your contractions start getting a pattern to them.
Your body is just getting ready for the delivery. Your body goes through some weird changes lemme tell ya! just go with the flow and hang on. it will all be over with soon.
Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. Mine took my breath away...not that they hurt I just couldn't breath. Talk to your doctor tomorrow. I'm sure it's just your body getting ready for labor.
Good luck and congrats!!
