Disciplining yourself means having self-control. It means being able to say no to drugs, smoking, sex, wild parties, and any other situation that could potentially cause trouble. If you know that you can train yourself to avoid temptation, so to speak, it shows that you can respect your body and yourself.
When a person knows he/she has the self control inside, the outside of the person will, normally, show self respect. Self respect with no self control would be impossible, for me. Self respect is such an important attribute to have!
