Would you read this book?

I have been told, in a nutshell, that my writing is a little 'Percy Jackson'-ish... Or maybe I'm just naturally hilarious.

I've only written a couple chapters in this story, and I need to know if I should continue it or not.

Long story short, the entire book follows Cameron 'Cammie' Alvarez in the first person. It's called the Elemental. In the Elemental, when a child turns 11, they are chosen to go into a specific kind of sorcery - earth, fire, water, air or the Elementals. The Elementals are an elite group of people that can control all four elements - but one has not appeared for five hundred years. In Cloud Nine, the place where Cammie and her friends live, the children are raised to believe that the earth is the most dangerous place in the world, and that they must never, ever go there. Angela is chosen for fire, Penelope is chosen for air, and Liana is chosen for water, but before it’s Cammie’s turn, Magkiers attack - evil practicers of dark magic. Cammie sees a boy run off and follows him into the woods, only to later find out that he needs their help to go to Earth and gather troops for war – and hopefully find the Elemental.

More Stuff: The boy refuses to tell his name for half the book, so he is referred to as ‘cave boy’, ‘that annoying kid Cammie found in the cave’ and ‘Will (Which he stubbornly insists is not his name.)’ His real name is Zach, and his father is the leader of the Magikers. Oh, and he and Cammie fight constantly for good comic relief.

Anyhow, at the end of the book, Cammie discover that she’s the Elemental and she has to save the world.

And in the words of Cameron Alvarez, “Sounds like fun.”
