A person cannot exceed $5,000 worth of care, and a family cannot exceed $10,000 worth of care?
Plenty of illnesses incur costs much greater!
Update:"$5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for a family. Such levels shall be increased (rounded to the nearest $100) for each subsequent year by the annual percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index"

You're not telling the whole story... as usual.
The coverage limit will be $5000 + $100 for every point on the Consumer Price Index. The current CPI is 215.693, or an additional $21,569 dollars per person.
EDIT to TheDude - Of course it rations coverage... just like every single private health insurance plan in existence. Do you honestly think a plan would allow unlimited coverage, private or public?
EDIT to poster - You're right, I misread that paragraph. On re-examination these limits actually apply to the out-of-pocket maximums. In other words an individual will be responsible for $5000 + the increase in the CPI each year. Any charge beyond that amount will be covered.
in other words no private healthcare plan would be able to charge more than 5k out of pocket for an individual and 10k for a family per year
also no rationing,
(3) does not impose any annual or lifetime limit 10
on the coverage of covered health care items and 11
services;

so the answer to the question is YES. Thanks for helping.
hey lets just make stuff up!
this is actually the maximum out of pocket that would have to be paid by the individual or family
in other words no private healthcare plan would be able to charge more than 5k out of pocket for an individual and 10k for a family per year
But it's OK because the government plan is only going to pay doctors about ten dollars a visit. Sure no one with half a brain will want to become a doctor but at least it will be affordable.
That's horrible. It will ration care. Hopefully one day Libs will see the light and stop their radical ideas.
First, learn how to read.
Next, go back to where "cost-sharing" is defined.
Then, try to understand the stupidity of your argument.
Good luck. You will need it.
