Who are Candy (the Swamper), Slim, Curley, and Carlson in the novel Of Mice and Men? Explain the characters.?

I think the other characters except George and Lennie of the novel were in the section 2:

-Candy is an aging swamper or handyman who has lost his right hand. He is very kind to George and Lennie.

-Slim is the skilled mule driver who passes outside.

-Curley is the boss’s son who is a small young man who wears a Vaseline-filled work glove on his left hand and high-heeled boots to distinguish himself from the labourers, and joins Lennie and George. Curley is an aggressive and malicious ex-boxer who immediately senses that he might have some fun at Lennie’s expense, and begins to demand that “the big guy talk.”

-Slim was one of the most unique characters in Of Mice and Men. Without Slim, John Steinbeck's book would not have had the same effect. He gave the book the idea of a hero. Slim was caring, understanding, and a great leader. Slim's best characteristic was how he always thought of others. From the beginning, Slim was very nice to the odd pair. "His tone was friendly. It invited confidence without demanding it"(P.34). He always had a listening ear. Slim was caring and understanding.

-Carlson is a large man, who appears insensitive to the feelings of others. His most notable action occurs when he offers to execute Candy's dog to 'put it out of its misery'. His key motivation for putting Candy's dog down is not to put it out of its misery, as he says, however. He mentions repeatedly that he dislikes the smell of the dog, as it is elderly and gives off a strong scent.
