This has only happened to me once, and I used them to go to a Halloween party as Elvira. (I didn't re-dye them). Then I gave them to my dog as a chewtoy. Then they ended up in the nearest landfill. Seriously.

I had to have my shoes dyed a bright purple color and I wasn't even a bridesmaid...I was just an altar girl. I like the idea that one of the answers said, about donating them to a preschool or a daycare so little kids can play dress up in them, since most of them are bright colors anyway. I don't even know what happened to mine, all I know is that they never were worn again.

I had to get a pair for my brothers wedding (from payless) and the shoes needed to be Hunter Green. A few months later I was going to formal event and tried to have them died again from hunter green to a shade of purple, they came out a tye die combo of green and purple, they were hideous!

My nieces play dress up with them now, I have really small feet and they nearly fit one of them.

I purely did that when for my severe college commencement gown and the shop did a terrible job matching the belt on the robe. I wore the footwear as quickly as. I accept as true with regards to the value of gown footwear and WHO of their precise techniques thinks those long pointy footwear like Oprah and Kelly Ripa placed on seem good!

Basically they're one of the oldest wedding gimmicks and that are basically useless after the ceremony. Many brides don't have their bridesmaids buy them any more because of the unnecessary expense of a disposable item.

give them as gag gifts or to a preschool/ charity where kids like to play dress up
