my wife and I planted corn in our garden and the ears are very small, the kernels are soft and starchy. the flaver is good but the texture is realy bad what did we do wrong?
Corn is a heavy feeder and requires good soil nutrition. Ideally, you'd want to spread composted manure over the ground before tilling and planting, or at the very least, fertilize the corn when it's 18" high and again at four feet.

What kind of variety did you plant? Some are more resistent to blight, mosaic virus, and rust than others.
