hi,
I don't understand why the result of western for 4HNE would give a lot of bands and not one.
can anyone explain this to me..?
I know that where there is high expression it means that there is an oxidative stress, but why not one band?

There are three reasons that a protein could run further on a gel. It could be: 1) larger, 2) a different charge, or 3) a different shape.
I'm not familiar with this molecule. Is it added to other proteins in a way that the antibody staining the western will still bind it? That would cause multiple bands. Are there different forms with different charges? Are there different forms with different sizes?
