False (unfortunately - since Thor is way cooler than Jesus)... but because of the comics and movies, etc... I think that leaves people thinking more about Disney than a God. But, at least when they do think about Thor, it's not Human Sacrifice. =)
"Thor was never a real man, ever. Jesus really lived on earth. Whether you believe He is God or not, is up to you, but He was a real man."
As a matter of fact, Thor may have been every bit as real as Jesus. It even seems rather likely. And if 'The real Jesus' was just a man, then he wasn't Jesus, now was he?

Thor has gone from god to comic book character.
And even as a comic book character he is a far far position after
Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Hulk, Iron Man...
one could run up a big list of heroes before Thor comes up
If you call that more respect -- 'kay
I know all of one guy who pours a libation to Thor during a thunder storm (and only when he feels like it)
In contrast, the yearly sacrifices to Jesus in Rome get televised worldwide and they pre-empt every farking TV show for it.

Thor is more respected in today's society because Thor is a movie star.
I must agree with Cosmo, that Thor is somewhat more fictional.
There probably was a preacher named Jesus of Nazareth.
The Gospel writers had to invent some reason for him to be born in Bethlehem, since that was what was prophesied.
So they made up the "census", for which there are no Roman records.
Thank Thor it's Thor's Day.
Thor has one day a week named after him.
Magic jesus only has one day a year.
Thor wins :)
Peace.
False but I like that you actually picked a god to go with.
