Ron Paul is a straight talker and he'll even says things that a lot of people don't want to hear but rather need to hear. While others in Washington would be cowering behind their desks before saying anything that goes against the powers at be, or that may not be 'popular', Ron Paul is never afraid to tell us the truth and let us know what needs to be said.

It's hard to believe someone like him actually exists in Washington, someone who's going to vote based on the constitution and what's best for the country, not on what is popular or what some lobbyist wants.

If you want to find a straight talker with a track record to back it up, look up Ron Paul, he honestly has the best voting record in Congress.

He's been voted the "Tax Payer's best friend" many times. Year after year he's ranked #1 or in the top 5 out of everyone in Congress for doing more for Tax Payers.

More than anything he has an economic plan to greatly help this country. This country has some serious issues which are getting worse, yet no one is willing to look at the ROOT CAUSES, or do more than lip service.

Ron Paul actually looks at root causes and provides the solutions without pandering to special interests.

Ron Paul wants to stop this ever growing government which is making our country broke and reverse the trend to smaller government, less inflation, less taxes, and a better and brighter economy.

A candidate like this doesn't come forth very often, now is the time to bring into office someone who believes in the constitution and has a plan to help this country.

If you are serious about finding the right candidate under the criteria you've mentioned, you'll be inspired once you've done some research.

I have never voted before, and have never wanted to vote before. Why? Cuz it was pointless? Who really wins when you have either Kerry or Bush to vote between?

This is the first year that I will have ever voted. And same as usual, none of the candidates interest me, except 1 in particular. He caught my eye, I researched him, and I think he is one of the best candidates we have had in a long time.

Ron Paul IS a straight talker, no way around it. He isn't like these other politicians with all their spin. He has ideas that can change America, but no one is willing to even devote 1 hour to listening to this guy because they are close minded.

I feel that if a person really researching all the candidates, that person will be more inclined to support Ron Paul. Like I said, e-mail me. I have resources and information which most people wouldn't even believe it if I showed it to them. But there is so much, it all depends on what your looking for, so you would have to tell me something specific.

I agree. I can hardly believe the poor quality of candidates. It seems to get worse every time. I guess Ron Paul is the guy who stands out most. Although I usually vote Democrat as the perceived lesser of two evils. Ron is the only one who at least seems to be about addressing the tough issues the others won't touch.

Just think 1980, if it was not for Reagan, there was nobody. Remember Jimmy Carter, who was a joke as president and should just retire and build houses. Reagan made it interesting. Ron Paul is the only one who says what he thinks and does not go by poll numbers. Hilliary changes with the polls and Barack says stuff then retreats from what he said. Fred Thompson will be the best if he ever declares.

so far those are the only 3 of course because they are straight talkers and the media gives them very little exposure

youre right its a poor group but the one who can give the best answer to solving the Iraq problem,getting the people back to buying housing thereby boosting the market trading back up and solve the health problems as well as the illegal bordercrossigs should be the one to vote for and any senator runing for president couldnt do any good while in office to solve the problems

Ron Paul is a straight talker, but most people aren't willing to listen to what he says. The liberal media tries to ignore him as much as possible.

He understands economics and why freedom is better than socialism and fascism.

The closest one to being electable, so far, is Ron Paul.

And I'm not sold on him, either.

Honestly... if nobody worthy is in the final lap... I'll vote Hillary just for sheer amusement value.
