I've got a 4 week old baby boy. He's being breastfed, I don't like doing it in public I like doing it alone so when my husband comes in I usually cover up. And it's like he wants to see it. Is it wrong not wanting him to see when I breastfeed?

I don't know how "wrong" it is, but my god, he's your husband. He's seen you naked and in very personal situations. I breastfed in the living room with my husband, and pumped in front of him completely naked more times than I can remember.
It's only natural that your husband be curious. I remember on more than one occasion, my husband watching and just shaking his head in disbelief that we are able to do such a miraculous thing for our babies. And on the days where I was getting frustrated with a fussy nurser, he'd make the comment that he'd wish he was able to nurse, too, to help me out.
But even from day one, his job was "the burper". He sat next to me waiting, and when it was burping time, he took over. In the beginning, he'd help me relatch our daughter.
Breastfeeding is really a team effort. Why not let him share in the miracle?

I don't think it is wrong no....its your body and its up to you who sees what you do. It is important that you are nice and relaxed when breast feeding so if it helps to be alone then that is best for baby and you. It might help to talk to him about the way you feel so that he doesnt feel rejected or hurt. he probably doesn't understand how you feel. Have you tried covering up with a cloth so your husband can still be near you when you breast feed but not actually see whats gong on. Breastfeeding is a very natural thing to do and your husband is probably just curious as mine was!!! I felt a bit funny at first but he actually used to help me latch my little girl on as i had difficulty at first but the more he was around me the more relaxed i became. Hope this helps.
You should never feel embarrassed while breastfeeding, although i understand it's difficult in public. You wouldn't feel uncomfortable having your husband watch if you were bottle feeding, it's his way off getting involved and showing he cares. After all, he can't feed his son! You have been far more intimate with your husband to create your baby so i think watching you breastfeed is fine and will help you bond as a family.
My boyfriend loves to watch and he'll help her relatch, or he will rub her cheek if she starts to doze off during a feeding. I love it. Makes him feel a connection to her as well, I think, since we do not bottle feed with breast milk or formula at all. It's like family bonding. Nothing to be ashamed of! If you made a baby together, he's seen all of you! He just wants to enjoy the moment like you do wirh your baby. If it bothers you that much -no one can force you to do anything! But in my opinion/experience, it's perfectly normal. :)
it could just be curiosity or maybe he's looking at the baby, before I had kids I was sort of interested in how it all worked and happened, I have heard many men say it certainly is not a turn on if anything it's a turn off,lol I use to get my husband to help me when I was struggling with breastfeeding, he'd literally have to support my breast while I tried to position my son properly, best wishes
Alls I can say is after having gave birth to my baby (natural) I lost all sense of self dignity and didn't care who saw what after that! I was having trouble BFing my baby, in the end I had to put her on the bottle :( but at the time both my mum and my man where helping me to try getting bub to latch on and I was pumping in front of them as well as doing skin to skin etc.. it is all a perfectively natural part of having a baby. Think proud and let your hubby experience it along with you :)
I guess its up to u what u r comfortable with but i b/f our son in front of my hubby i he used to sit with us whilst i feed and it was not uncomfortable but if u fee uncomfortable that's personal preference and u may not be able to let down whilst u r feeding if he is the the same room, my hubby used to burp our son coz as that was his way of bonding after all he couldnt b/f. from about 8 weeks i couldn't feed our son around anyone as he was to interested in his surroundings so if someone spoke or was in the room he wouldn't feed. Enjoy these precious moments. good luck
Breast feeding is a wonderful way for you to bond with your baby, and I'm sure your husband loves to see you nourishing your child.
My husband always said that I was never more beautiful than when I was breast-feeding a baby! Go figure!
I certainly wouldn't be shy about him seeing you using your breasts for what they are actually made for - don't be shy about him seeing you doing this, you should be proud of yourself for nourishing your child, and he is likely proud of you too.
Breast feeding is natural, my husband watched but wasn't a perve. He thought it was a beautiful thing to do. That was very sweet coming from him, as he is usually quite a hard person.
