I just heard on ESPN that Michael Vick has been formally charged with operating a dog fighting ring, and all of the ugly business that such a venture implies.
Like killing inadequate pit bulls by electrocution, hanging, drowning, etc...
If he is convicted of these heinous crimes, do you think he should be permanently suspended from the NFL?

I live in Atlanta and don’t want to see him here ever again. I wrote to the NFL commissioner and the Atlanta falcons letting them know how I feel.

When all this came up, I figured it would blow over and he'd worm his way out of it. I was pleasantly surprised at the news of his indictment. He could still get off but at this point in time but let's hope they stick it to him. Yes, if he's found guilty he should be suspended permanently, but I have a feeling they'd just suspend him for a few games. The NFL is a major money making machine and they have an image to protect so they have to take some sort of action on this. As it stands now, they often have a thug image projected onto them by the conduct of their players. If they didn't do anything to him it would draw negative attention and make it appear that they are turning a blind eye to this behavior.
Did O.J Simpson get banned from from football and kicked out of the hall of fame for being charged with the murder's of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman? No. If Vick is convicted of the's crimes, and get out of jail time then i'm sure might have some kind of suspenion? But a life time BAN. i doubt it.
But since Michael Vick isn't a repeat offender then my may not even get suspended.
I am a fan of M. Vick, but he really should have gave dog fighting/killing a second thought. He was already disliked by many, but this just made matters ten times worse for him. First it was his brother, but now they both seem like bad influences. Being banned from the NFL is serious. If he is, maybe he will learn from it.
Hey lockdown, I'm sick of you bashing hunting. I'm sure the indictments on vick would not have happened if he had cleaned and eaten his dogs!
That's the difference you stupid@ss thug. I can't help it you live in an apartment with one bathroom and don't have hundreds or thousands of acres to hunt, camp, dirtbike, fish, or just plain enjoy.
Michael Vick is just another typical black athelete and by reading your comments you'll probably be the same.
an indictment aint a conviction bro saying dog fighting is bad when hunting is perfectly legal. the vice president almost killed someone hunting but mike lets some dog fight and hes getting in trouble?
IF he is indeed guilty - he should not only be suspended....he and the others should suffer the same punishment they gave those innocent animals.
Thumbs down me if you want - but what they did was sick, nasty, unneeded and just cruel!!
What a hero he must be to millions of kids....goody goody.......I would rather he got caught selling cocaine!
I hope he gets the worst punishment possible, he is entitled to due process, but come on.... over 50 dogs found on the property? A rape stand? I hope he gets one of those in prison.....
yes finally someone who knows what there talking about. He MURDERED something by hanging it. How sick do u have to be to hang a dog. Strangle a Dog? How could u? SICK INDIVIDUAL I HOPE HE DIES>
these leagues i think dont suspend there players enough games
especially basketball.
Ron artest should have gotten atleast 15 games
but i can see him now gone for atleast 10 and if he does get sent to jail make it a season and more
