Most Christians do not read either biblical account of creation- as the literal truth and due to the scientific evedince accept the big bang and evoltion.

In fact one of the first proponents of the Big bang was a Catholic priest named georges lemaître.

As there are 4 gospels that are slightly different- not wanting to take either as being 100% accurate is fine-

however in order to call yourself a Christian- you do need to be able to honestly say you accept the Nicene Creed and believe that God walked the earth as a human named Jesus from Nazareth

YAHUSHUA (Jesus) is your savior, do you read and follow his words the best you can? This is what is important, turn away from sin and follow the commandments. You don't have to go to church but you should study the bible.

I think its ok that you don't believe some aspects of it, just know that you can trust GOD. I think some of the things in the bible are not literal, belief in Adam and Eve is much less important than following the Word of GOD and YAHUSHUA (Jesus).

Holy **** you're going to hell. You must believe everything! Inluding there was no sins(including killing) until Adam and Eve and there was talking snakes back then. But don't worry those snakes arent around anymore they all died out you since evolution is a lie the scientist created to rebel against god cause everyone knows hell is way the **** better then heaven. Life is a journey. I am a Catholic who majored in the sciences at a Catholic university. Keep praying on your journey. When you pray you are moving closer to God. He will guide you.

Why not just become a deist and believe in your own concept of god??

Your concept of god doesn't have to be Jesus or Yahweh it can be named anything you want to name it and have any attributes you want it to have.

It is only through Christ insanity having a monopoly over the west that makes people believe inherintely that when someone refers to "god" they are necessarily talking about the jewish psychopathic characters Yahweh or Jesus.

It is not always so.

There were many thousands of different gods worshipped ardently by people before the Christians murdered most of their competition.

So why not just make up your own god and believe in it?

You already have admitted you don't believe in aspects of Christ insanity so why torture yourself or limit yourself to it's dogma when you can have something better, that actually makes sense to you completely?

Why not simply create your own loving and just and righteous god and save yourself the aggravation of trying to stick a square peg in a round hole by trying to make incompatible Christ insanity fit into your life when much of it's teachings disagree with the way you want to live or believe?

OK with whom? It depends on whose opinion you are concerned about. In my opinion, you can believe whatever you want, but your beliefs don't make much sense. If you don't believe that all of the supernatural claims of the Bible are true, why should you believe any of them are? If the Bible is capable of being wrong (which it very obviously is) then it is not rational to assume that SOME of its unlikely claims are true.

Yes it is. All Christians cherry pick what they want to believe in. And when they are sure about what directions please them, they invent a new type of Christianity (Mormons, protestant, ...) and still not follow their own rules.

If you believe that you will be saved through JEsus you are a Christian. There are a lot of christians that think their way is the only way, but salvation through Jesus is the only thing that counts.

To disregard even one of the key components in Christianity is to disregard Christianity itself. Ephesians will tell you that it is a grave error to preach a different Gospel than is written in the Bible.

Sheesh ... why do think there's 3 gazillion different sects of the Xian cult ? Even they don't know what the hell they believe. Yes feel free to join whichever of them is closet to what you prefer and then rationalize, cherry pick, ask for forgiveness often or just be a total outright hypocrite. Seems to work well enough for many other Xians.
