i was at the book store and decided to buy the Princeton review helpbooks for my AP classes im taking NEXT year, but the ones i bought are the 2008 edition, so im wondering if theres really a huge difference between the ones i bought and the ones that will come out next year, and if i should return them and wait, or just stick with these ones

Not really. Every year new DBQ and FRQ questions are released, so they may be included in the new book. Every ten or so years, every set of multiple choice questions gets released, so they may be included.
Your book is sufficient, I wouldn't return it.
Well I don't go to Princeton, if that is even relevant, but its been my experience that year-to-year the only real changes are the covers.
Do you have ISBN numbers from the books you're talking about?
not much of a change
