I saw an empty round salt container that was shook in circles and set on floor. It rolled. How do you make?
This was years ago and was a homemade craft/toy. I believe it had rubber bands inside with something heavy like old D batteries or something. I don't know what it was called.
Yes, it would have had rubber bands and a weight. it is sometimes known as a rollback can.
So at each end, you have to anchor a rubber band. the rubber bands then attach to an offset weight, so as you roll the can, it twists up the rubber bands. To make it work by spinning in your hand, it seems like it would work easier if you put the weight as close to one end as possible. perhaps using some kind of swivel at that end, and just have a rubber band going to the other end.
