and i need to know what they are worth. One of them is from "The First National Bank of Merrimac" its a five dollar saving bond one from February 25, 1883. it has a number 268 series 1882.
I also have a twenty dollar savings bond from also the first national bank of merrimac. its serial numbers seem to say in the right hand corner X24705E series of 1902 it also has a N 268.
the five is in fair condition and the twenty is in excellent condition. Ive been looking everywhere online for something like that to figure its worth. Im rather curious.

Is this the bank you're looking for? They're in business since 1880.

As long as the First National Bank of Merrimac still exists, the bond should still have value.
If the bank doe not exist, then frame the bond as a historical paper and display it as a rememberance of times gone by. (In other words, it may be just a piece of paper.)
Contact the bank about cashing it in.
