The patients there have a lot of anxiety and fear and pain, and so it's important for staff members who work with them to do what they can to make their time there as comfortable as possible, not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. So if you have a good listening ear, an upbeat personality, a healthy respect for illnesses of the cancer variety and how it affects lives, are willingness to work hard, then that's great.
