i make fudge around the holidays to sell for extra cash. i feel like im over charging. i sell it by the pan or half pan. about 13x? makes about 30 ish pieces. ive never bought fudge in a shop so im not sure what a decent price for homemade fudge would be. What would you pay for it if you were buying?

You have to do some simple math to decide what you have in the fudge. Add together the cost of all the ingredients in on batch. Weigh the batch after it is cooked and you will know what the batch is. If the batch is 2 lbs, divide the cost by 2 to find out the cost of a pound. Then decide your profit margin. Multiply your pound cost by 4 for a 25% food cost. By 3 for a 33% food cost.
I was just at a local candy shop in my area (Independence, MO) and paid $10.99 a pound for fudge. I make home made fudge around the holidays as well for my family, but this fudge is even better than mine. You might get a kitchen scale, and package the fudge into 1/4, 1/2, and 1 pound packages and price it accordingly. If I were going to sell it, I would figure the cost of the ingredients and how much fudge it makes, and then decide how much profit you want to make.
I can tell you that the two half pound pieces I bought were about 2 inches wide, by 5 inches long and 2 inches thick.
