First I will admit I know very little about politics mainly because I just can't bare the injustice of it all and have to walk away to keep from cursing like a sailor or just crying. I don't operate to well on intellect, but wisdom therefore I do not understand too much about the engine that makes politics run.
But tell me, don't we as the American people have the right or power to turn our government around? I could have sworn that our government works for us and not the other way around?
I understand that first we Americans would have to unite, but let's say we had enough Americans to make a difference, then what? How could we fire ALL the bad apples, idiots, educated fools and money mongers? How could we insure a fair and just election process, clean out all the back scratchers? Start a new and or fresh?
Or is it just too late?
NOTE: For the most part I already know what the majority of answers will be, but I am hoping that some of the mature intellectual as well as wise will shed some light on this question not just for me, but for the generations coming in behind us.

we have the power. less than a year ago america elected a democratic congress and a president. the cry baby conservatives are getting old fast.
First we need to try and do it at the ballot box. There are a lot of people who are now paying attention that never did before. They are wanting to get back to the constitutional form of government. The elections next year will be a good litmus test. If we throw the majority of people up for election out hopefully the ones left in congress will get the point that we are not going to pushed around anymore and start listening to the people. We need to tell them that we want laws passed that change campaign finance reform so that they can not take in millions from special interests and ignore the people, tell them we want term limits that force them to go back into the private sector after their terms and live with the laws they pass. We need to demand that they overhaul the public school system that graduates people who have no idea of history or economics. I think that would be a great start to getting back to where we need to be.
If we reelect a lot of the people running next year we are in trouble. Thinking that you can keep doing the same thing over and over and get a different result is insane. If we don't throw the people out who are the problem then we are not going to get the problem fixed.
I believe the only way to change the system is to work outside of the system.
Its much to big and powerful to change it by following its rules.
Government needs two things to operate, money and our consent. So we hit them where it hurts, their pocketbook.
1. Stop paying all taxes that you can avoid paying.
2. Stop voting period.
3. Avoid paying any and all license and registration fee's, federal state and local.
4. Ignore all illegitimate laws.
5. Avoid any violence during this process, as the government will quickly resort to violence. This will quickly dissipate any legitimacy they have left.
Of course the problem is to coordinate these points among enough people to be effective. For that I do not have the answer.
I'm sorry to say this but I think US Government will never allow their own citizens to do nothing against their own Government
that is why in 2008 US Congress had a secret session to discuss the possibility to face a civil war due the economical collapse
I believe US Government is ready to face any kind of rebellion
what we can do? nothing just leave America's continent till we will be forced to leave again..
Sure, the people are supposed to have the power, but when left unexercised is quickly lost..
Its been unused for a long time!
Politicians did things their own way...Would be hard now to get back to how its supposed to be...
Letting the media decide whos good and whos bad for us is the first joke!
Term limits would be a good start, but impossible, since it is Congress who would have to pass such a bill.
When Washington ignored the 9-12'ers, calling them mobs, terrorists, and unpatriotic, they are moving us to take more drastic measures. I think we should work together to de-fund the government. In other words, stop paying taxes.
