How do I become a mental health advocate?
I would love to help people who are mentally ill. How do I become an advocate?
Update:I guess I wasn't specific enough. I have no intention of treating people without license. Obviously that is illegal an ill-advised. Any other options such as groups or organizations that need help from the average person?

Study, study etc. You cannot and should not offer assistance or help to people with mental health issues unless you are qualified and understand mental health.
Consider Psychology or at least Counselling courses
