Unfortunately, I did not see it, but I do have a description. It was under my sister's mailbox, in a groove between bricks on her house. She said it was kind of shaped like a small jalapeno pepper, bright, almost lime green, and had gold markings on it that almost looked like real spun gold. I've searched cocoon images on the net to see if I could find one like it, but no luck. Hoping maybe someone has seen one like it. Or maybe someone who studies insects will see this question and know what I'm talking about. Interested in what kind of little creature lived inside of it, and what it became after it got out. Thanx for your help!

I hope it's one of those! You can try googling chrysalis pictures of those butterflies to see different stages of them. Good luck.
