Looking for a specific verse.?
Can anyone tell me specific book, chapter and verse in the Bible where it says homosexuality is a sin? I remember a verse in Acts, talking about men not laying down with their brothers, but I always thought that meant incest. Anyway... if anybody knows a specific verse, please let me know. Also if its King James version, or something more modern. Thanks for your help.

What sets homosexuality apart is that it is practiced and promoted within the bounds of Christianity in direct opposition to scripture. Murder would be right alongside of homosexuality in these forums if people were promoting and practicing murder as a wholesome Christian way of life. Thats the rub.
There are those that attempt to discard scripture by making self serving claims that the scriptures were "mistranslated" or even worse discrediting the author(Paul). Their motive isnt to seek out the Word of God in Truth but instead they glean from the Biblical text what may be invented against itself in order to gratify the lust of the flesh.
1 Corinthians 6
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

There are those that will discredit the old testament by claiming that we shouldnt eat shellfish and the like. They are confusing accepted human relationships ordained by God with '"clean and unclean" things to eat.
The Levitical Law covers quite a bit of ground in regards to human life. The Jews were not to murder, or to eat shellfish. They were to not have sex with animals and had to not go near dead persons. And on and on. Clearly, some of these Laws can be applied to today while others were certainly a function of religious practice. Having sex with ones sister or mother or with the sheep is clearly timeless as opposed to the sacrifices and functions of the Jews following the Mosaic Law.
Romans Chapter 1
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Let's get this straight...
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all righteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
