Frank Ocean's "We All Try"?
I have to create a listening guide for a song of my choice for a music class I'm taking. I chose Frank Ocean's "We All Try." Can anyone tell me what type of percussion is used in the song? I hear a snare drum, and I'm not sure what else. Is it a synthesizer? Also, is this song an example of a compound meter? Is it a subdivided beat? This is a question for people who possess knowledge in musical instrumentation...more so than I do (obviously).

It sounds like he's on a drum set, you can hear the ride cymbals along with the snare. To create the more tempered dynamics he is using brushes instead of actual drum sticks. I don't think there is much synthesizer, mainly just guitar.
Also, the meter is simple quadruple - the measure is divided into four and the beat has two subdivisions to it, not three.
