So I'm starting my first day at McDonalds tomorrow and they told me that i need a pair of black resistant shoes. I've searched online and they look like plain black rubber shoes. I really dont want to buy one if I dont have to. I have a pair of black converse and i was wondering if that would work? I also have a lot of basketball shoes lol. Help thanks!

I like the Safetrax brand that Kmart sells, but the Tredsafe brand that Wallyworld sells is about ten dollars less.
They're inexpensive as far as shoes go, and that way you don't get your converse greasy. I don't think they would be acceptable anyway, although I do not know McDonald's policy.
I just know from experience wearing regular shoes on a greasy restaurant floor did not work out for me.
Slip resistant shoes have a special tread on the bottom to aide in the prevention of falls. They are a very important part of the employee uniform, especially when working in a place where grease and/or water could regularly be on the floor. I suggest checking out Shoes for Crews. You can typically get a good 3 years out of a pair of them. Also depending on your state you may be required by law to have a shoe with anti-slip tread, if you don't have them on your location could be fined for it. Don't take the easy way out and wear the converse, your safety in the workplace should be first and foremost!
Tennis shoes are not appropriate and they are not slip resistant.
Buy the shoes they told you to buy or don't take the job. It's part of the uniform and you must comply with the request.
As long as you don't have big feet you should be able to get slip resistant shoes at Wal-Mart or K-Mart or just about any shoe store. Just tell them your looking for slip resistant shoes. I am a bit surprised that your store isn't going to buy you shoes. Don't ruin your nice shoes working.
new balance has them i think you can get them at kholes they are completely black and kind of look like a tennis shoe i hope this helps they are kind of hard to explain!
the box will say slip resistant. hit up payless or wal-mart
