Firefox and Internet Explorer keep closing by themselves? How can I fix this?
Firefox will come up and say that it crashed, but it does it like every 5 minutes or so. Internet Explorer doesn't say anything when it happens, it just takes me to the desktop. Also happening about every 5 minutes. What could be the cause of this? I had Avast ran last night and it found a couple viruses and disposed of them, but it's still happening. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Disable the browser plugins
try hitting start after hit Control panel after hit Internet options and when the Internet properties come on,delete temporary files,history and cookies see if that helped.If not try disable fire fox do a spyware scan a virus scan and check if you have two anti virus programs on.And if you can do a restore point to a day it was working fine that would make the computer work fine but you will have to install any programs you have dowload after the day you do the restore point.So try to not go to far back if you do a restore point,
