My 4s always says my storage is almost full. The more i delete the more i get immediately redirected to my main screen. I hardly have any apps pics mail etc and it gets worse

When in doubt, dump the machine.
You should be dumping your electronics on a regular basis anyway.
Its either that or you Worry about what Might be hidding there.
