A dermatologist told me wiping your face with hydrogen peroxide would kill the bacteria. The only negative effect is that if can be very drying, so make sure to moisturize afterwards. Benzoyl peroxide also does the same thing.

Benzoyl peroxide does. I use the Acne.org regime and swear by it.

i have tried this and it did nothing for me.
