I believe there's Good forces and Evil forces in the world.
And it's up to us to decide if we want to lead a moral or immoral life.
Maybe you don't struggle with religion, but you struggle with choice. Make the best of what you got and live a good life. God will see this even if you don't necessarily believe in Him.
Yes I do. I do not struggle with the idea of a loving God, creator of all things. I do struggle with "religion". There are many reasons for this struggle for me. I am somewhat of a freethinker and don't take anything at face value. Sometimes I wish I could, but it's just not who I am. Faith for me has been a reasoned, logical progression. What many get in a few weeks or months oftent takes me years. I have learned that we end up the same place, but I have to go the long path for me to own it. I struggle with many religious conventions that I cannot recognize the value in. I question everything. This makes for a hard road sometimes, but it is my road and I have learned that I cannot take someone else's road, even if it would be easier. I struggle with many religious people who seem to be asleep or too busy to take the journey. I struggle with those who get the journey easily also. For many years I believed in God, but did not practice any religion. I changed this after getting married and having children. I wanted some common ground whith which we could connect as a family. I found that organized religion gave us that. I also came to realize that my spiritual development could be much more meaningful in terms of being of value to others if I made that journey within the framework of a religious body. I also found that my journey benefited from the journey of others around me. Have I found the perfect religion? No! Have I found value in subjecting myself to an imperfect religion thereby practicing humility? Yes! Is it a struggle? Yes, but it is a glorius struggle. One with joy and adventure along the path. I have found my struggling journey with religion to be far superior to my previous journey without it.
Whether they admit it or not, everyone has a spiritual side. Spirituality is a need that a person must feel is filled to be happy. It is an inherent quality...
And, Yes, many people wonder whether they want to be involved in any religion, due to the history of religions in the world's degradation of society and more...
I believe that everyone struggles with religion in one way or another. You must be ignorant not to!
Everyone must decide whether they believe that universal Truth exists, and then discover the nature of Truth if they decide to pursue it.
Even though a devout person may not struggle with whether to be religious or not, they still must struggle every day to live their daily lives in the pursuit of their ultimate beliefs.
Yes, always. Religion is a personal experience, that (hopefully) constantly develops. No matter what life's circumstances are, were, or will be, I always hope to struggle with my beliefs. They may be different, but they are mine . My struggle with my religious beliefs are a part of my conviction for the right of existence.
Happy New Year, May your God Bless You, as I hope mine blesses me.
And may humanity be fortunate enough to realize someday, thay Your God and Mine are one and the same. Peace.
I no longer struggle with religion or whether or not to
"be religious" as you put it.
I have found that there is a difference in spirituality and religion.
It has been said that Religion is for people who are afraid of going to Hell....Spirituality is for those of us who have already been.
I speak only for myself when i say that i had to strip away all of the layers of what society and family of origin taught me as a very young child....
I had to find my own spiritual truth...and dance to the beat of my own drum. I think that as long as we are seeking, we are growing spiritually. We are all on a journey....we all just take different paths to get to the top of the mountain.
You do not need to struggle with whether or not you should be religious because most of religion just being legalistic about stuff when the price has already been paid. "There is none that is perfect not one, for all have fallen short of the glory of God" Jesus said "The kingdom of heaven is within you" It is within you not within the confounds of a church building. Send me an email if you want to talk.
Religion is man made, and I choose not to be a part of it, therefore I do not struggle with it. I simply am a believer in Jesus Christ....and believe by faith, the Bible from cover to cover.

I once had that struggle myself... Then I found out what the Bible REALLY says about mankind's future, & I decided that I want to be a part of that!:

No, I do not struggle with whether to be religious or not. I have chosen, given the lack of evidence, to be not religious.
What I do struggle with from time to time, is to explain why certain people need religion more so than others.
