Before I had my car I walked everywhere, I would do about that much walking a day (between 3-5 hours). I was way more fit then.
I do prefer walking, like brisk walks. Occasionally I'll add jogs, but I don't like doing it that much so when I do I just alternate between walking and jogging.
They're both good for you. I've come across some runners (not all, obviously) that would just act all competitive and hard by trying to act like they were getting the REAL exercise by running, but you can't fix stupid, if you prefer walking over running than walking is better for you
I like walking. 4 hour walks? Crazy :) I only walk maybe an hour in total a day (Not on weekends to be completely honest) I walk to school, then I walk home from school.

Running helps relieve my stress and worries. As if I'm actually running from them.
Walking allows me to be alone with my thoughts, and not focus on what I'm doing exactly. Which I love
So it's pretty to say... running probably. I get a rush after wards and I'll be sore, which makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

I prefer running but both are beneficial as long as your heart rate is increased whilst doing it.
It depends upon the body structure and stamina, the main resultant is to be your increased heart beat..!
running is more beneficial for losing weight...
