I only ask this because I live in Indiana, and I don't really neccesarrily like dogs inside the house. So before I proceed and buy this dog (which will quite a while before I am ready to) I was wondering how good they respond to the outdoors.
Indiana at least where I am rarely gets below 0, as long as I have shelter for the dog outside will it be okay?
Will it need a sweater or anything of that nature? Or will it not be able to survive outside due to its naturally thin coat?

I have a 18 lb minpin he loves it outside. I live in georgia. So it doesn't get below 20 very offer here. He's an outside dog. Once in awhile he comes in do a bath and will stay for a day or 2. But other then that he's outside.
Sure, it's thoroughly viable... The challenge is, even if you don't seem to be worried about her having pups, if the feminine dog is the smaller one, and got pregnant with Doberman toddlers, she could die due to the puppies being even greater then she is, during her being pregnant and labor. Now not handiest that, but you would need to be all set to pay colossal cash for a cesarean section on the vet, due to the fact she could not in all likelihood provide delivery naturally. I would suggest as a minimum having the feminine spayed. I do know that these techniques are pricey, and i've been there. As long as the female is spayed for now, at the least she are not able to get pregnant, and also you is not going to have got to worry about domestic dog diapers (yes, they bleed when they may be in warmth), and you won't must fear about all the male dogs in the local trying to "get busy" with her. Even though i'm wholly an advocate of spaying or neutering pets, I realize it just isn't invariably feasible to get all the pets performed whilst. As long as the females are spayed for now, the whole lot might be pleasant until you're able to get the others carried out. Hope this helps!
Yep! It is just fine. It won't do harm at all as long as they have some place the can get out of the rain and wind and snow they will be fine.
No, absolutely not! My family has owned them, and we generally allow them to stay down in the basement.
