I have loads of grey hair, have been grey since my twenties and have always coloured my hair. Sick of all the hassle now and want to go full-on grey, preferably silver-grey [ not that i am that old ] :)).

Go to sallys beauty supply. Look for Salon Formula Haircolor for Men by L'Oreal. It's like $7 or $8. Or, wait till your 50 then you get it free.

If your going lighter you're probably gonna have to bleach it.. I'm fairly sure Stargazers do a semi-permanent SILVER dye which would probably give you the same result but I'd hazard a guess that you'll have to bleach the Holy sweet Jesus out of your hair first to get it light enough...
so if you are not that old do you want too look very young , why not leave it as it is , i am sure you look FAB, You can buy HEENA, its like hair dye which you put in , you can buy this from Indian grocery store, or leading supermarkets,
I think you should leave it alone i am sure some young mans out there like you just the way you are, i know i would , if i know what you look like in person.
This products would eventully cost lot of money in the end, and i am sure you could do with the money for other things in life , like going out taking me out for a drink or two or may be a dinner,
Boots.
They have got a fab range of hair dyes and there is a silver grey one.
First of all, if you've been coloring your hair, your going to have to wait till that grows out before you can put a color that will enhance or tone your natural haircolor. That is whats available for gray hair, toners. Color companies have been working for the past century to rid or cover gray hair not make it.
Also hair is not like a wall that you can paint a new color whenever you get tired of it. My suggestion would be to get a colored mousse or a rinse, you'll have to put it on everytime you wash your hair, till it grows out or your willing to cut the previously colored hair off.

EDIT: ok, that was funny at the time, but grey, come on, your not elderly yet my dear.
if you really want to go grey, then leave your hair to go grey on its own. i havent even seen grey hair dye anywhere.
for me it depends upon the girl. Like I might observe a girl with black hair and think she is totally hot however see a girl with blond curly hair that is meh and vice versa.
my advise would be to keep using semi permanent colours till you've grown all your colour out then wash a leave till your natural grey shows through....
I dont know why you want to die your hair grey when it will turn that colour when your older and then you wont want it grey !!!
