I am a freshman in college and I would say I have a high tolerance for alcohol. I have noticed that I can drink a lot more than the average person and it really takes me a lot to get drunk. (I can drink a half liter bottle of 100 proof rum in under 30 minutes as a pregame and still be able to go out and function at a party). My question is, does this mean that I also have a higher tolerance to getting alcohol poisoning? Also, does a high tolerance mean that by body can handle a higher %BAC better than the average person, or does it mean that I have to drink more alcohol to reach higher %BAC's?

Your tolerance has nothing to do with your BAC. It means just that - you tolerate the effects better. Your blood alcohol content is still very high. It is possible because your body tolerates a high level of alcohol so well. You don't actually need that much alcohol especially in 30 minutes. It takes one hour for your body to process a drink completely. Also, your body doesn't absorb the alcohol immediately into your blood, the majority is absorbed in your large intestines. Ever notice you keep drinking and then a few hrs later your very hammered? That's why. I would take it slow have one to two drinks an hour and you can also get that drunk gradually instead of being hit like a ton of bricks later.
High Tolerance Alcohol
It would seem you have high tolerance....and...
It means both : you can handle a higher BAC and your body will be able to rid itself of an amount of alcohol faster with more tolerance.
It means you just think you aren't drunk. Get someone to make a Vedio of you when drinking that amount and you be the judge.
Nope. It's basically like Some
One Burning you.
If you tolerate the burn more, it doesn't mean your Skin isn't Burning off..
it's possible yes
