Hi,
I am currently 22 weeks pregnant with no complications. About a year ago I had treatment on my cervix for abnormal cells, they removed the section which was 1cm by using an electric current known as the LEEP procedure. Anyway at my 22 week consultation they have told me I will need to have a cervical ultrasound just to check the length of my cervix and if its ok then I will be low risk.
Has anyone else had this done and also Im a little worried it could bring on pre term birth?
Thanks for any information.

I haven't had it done but its a good thing. If you are found to have a weak cervix the hospital will stitch or clip it, im not sure which one but it makes it stronger and you will go full term. You are lucky you have such a good Doctor x
If they find you have an incompetent cervix, you may have a cerclage put in place. This is done to help ensure you do not have a pre term birth. If you didn't have it, chances are you could deliver early and have complications. I also had the LEEP and have had no complications with either of my pregnancies. My doctor did a thorough exam with this pregnancy and said my cervix looks great. And just a positive note: My mom had a cerclage with me in 1980 and I was her only full-term, over-six-pounds baby :) Congrats and good luck!
My niece in basic terms had that technique completed. She exchange into on mattress relax for 2 weeks and then exchange into advised to take it consumer-friendly. She additionally offered between the tummy belts to help take the burden off her cervix. you may get them at any maternity keep. She had her toddlers at 28 weeks (twins in spite of the undeniable fact that). they are in the well-being facility yet are doing large. in basic terms be certain you're taking it consumer-friendly and you will do superb. Drink various water and stay hydrated. it is best because of fact dehydration will reason you to bypass into early exertions. good success and be beneficial.
