Hi I'm a 14 (almost 15) year old girl. I have been VERY thin all my life because I naturally have a small bone structure. I'm about 5ft 4 and weigh 98 lbs and I'm trying to slim down just a tiny bit because even though I'm nearly underweight I still would like to be a little thinner. I try and eat no more than 1,350 calories a day (yes I always count my calories) but sometimes I still feel hungry. How do I deal with this without going over the amount if calories I'm trying to limit myself to??? Does anyone else struggle with this? And I do exercise a lot on the treadmill which I put towards my daily calorie intake. Any good advice from people who have been in a similar situation?? Thanks in advance!

Whenever I feel hungry and don't want to go over my calorie count I eat lettuce because they only have 2 calories per leaf. I also drink a lot of water while I'm eating. Vegetables are really good to make you feel fuller and if you don't want to chew you can always drink green tea or coffee. If you just want to make the hunger go away without consuming anything try reading a book or practice an instrument (if you play one).
Make sure if you're going to diet that you don't do it for a long time and be careful with weight loss because that leads into very serious problems.
I hope it helped :)
*sigh* this is what the media does to our society these days. I say you should be comfortable with who you are. If your weight isn't posing a huge threat on your health, then you should be happy with the way you look. And it seems to me like you're trying to change your body shape, which won't happen. Genetics plays a crucial role in the way your body forms as you're going through puberty (and because you're fourteen years old, I'm guessing you're pubescent.)
But if you're looking for a healthier lifestyle, you have a couple options.
1) Eat celery and only celery all day. Celery has "negative" calories so while digesting it, you'll actually be burning more calories than how much is in the celery. But, if you hate celery (like I do,) then keep scrolling.
2) I jump-rope 1,000 times a day at a minimum. I'm not sure how many calories that burns, but I'm seeing a lot more leg muscle tone from this habit.
3) Volleyball players, soccer players, and figure skaters have very thin but also VERY TONED bodies. You could try getting into volleyball or soccer because, speaking from personal experience, skating won't help to shape your body unless you're at the higher levels where you're doing double and triple jumps.
Don't take offense to this, but if you want to lose weight, then you have an eating disorder. You're already underweight for your height. I would know because I'm 5'4", 125 lbs. The healthy weight range for 5'4" is between 108lbs to 145lbs. For your body to function you need to eat at least 1300 calories which you're doing. I would focus more on personal fitness, rather than trying to lose weight. Let me tell you from experience, running and eating only 1300 calories a day won't last long. You should eat at least 1600-1800 calories a day if you want to work out. Chances are you may gain weight, but it will be muscle and this is natural because muscle weighs more than fat. People who are muscular weigh more than people with fat. Trying weight lifting and core work, in addition to running. Best of luck to you.
