Yes, animals with fur do sweat such as chimpanzees and other mammals . however they only have about 100 sweat glands compared to humans that have millions and millions.
Its called evolution, its what happened after we stood upright, started running, chasing animals till exhaustion, after 10 minutes any prey will die from hypothermia (overheating) (because they cant pant when running at full speed, and thats the only way they get rid of body heat) Thats where the first marathon runners came from and then we started loosing more and more body hair in order to create more and more sweat glands and to use sweat for its full cooling potential.
Whew, that was a mouth-full.
When they do sweat, the sweat is actually kind of oily, kind of like a horses? idk if that makes sence to you but thats what happens. The water could also be from the water bottle. those leak a lot. Raise it up by putting something under that mount or by rebending the metal mount for it.
Hopefully its not too hot where you keep them. Make sure they have a lot of water and sometimes even give them an ice cube to chew on.
Good Luck.

They don't sweat. Your hamster is probably pushing up against the water bottle. Just move it up a little and this problem will go away.
it could just be water from his bottle.. some hamsters tend to sleep under the water bottle.. (maybe to keep them cool). but no i dont think they sweat.. lol
Yes water bottles are notorious for dripping to much water on the your pet when their done, it might even be leaking, hamsters might sweat but i doubt you can see it, he might be trying to keep cool on purpose so you might want to read up on what temperature to keep him in, it might be to hot and not well enough ventilated for him in his pen
