My children do not have middle names. I do not see the point of them. My mother gave me a long name, and I could not spell my middle name till I was 13! So I will save my children some struggles and just give them one name.

I like middle names because there's always the probability that several people will share the same first and middle name, the probability, however, goes down when you add a middle name. If a person goes into the military he'll get middle initials anyway: NMI which stand for no middle initial, it is sometimes easier with a middle name than explaining to bureaucrats why you don't have one
Nobody NEEDS a middle name. It's a matter of preference. Some people like to give their children middle names for many reasons. They might want to honor a family member or friend, they might like the way two names sound together, they might want to be able to use more than one of their favorite names. It doesn't have to be complicated.
Most people have middle names, though. The fact that your children don't will be something that's interesting about them.
I think middle names are good. If your child doesn't like their first name, they always have something to fall back on. I have two middle names and love having them, I think the middle name adds a bit more character to the first name.
I think the middle names are good to have but they shouldn't be a name that is over the top. It should be easy and short. Like my daughters name is Bryanna Shea. Nice sweet and short.
I don't think they are needed, but it's nice to have an option between two names.
Everyone calls me by my middle name because it suits me better than the fist one.
You don't need one- I don't have one...but it adds more to a name, I think.
