How to get help for someone similar to James Holmes, Aurora film shooter?
No one is answering this under the heading of mental health....... interesting fact.
Can you make a seriously depressed Genius get help from someone smart enough to talk with them on their level of academic success that is free help? Where do you go for help in Metro Detroit Michigan for a 23 year old male?
What do you do with someone that you notice is similar to someone like James Homes the guy that shot up all the people in the Aurora Theatre? If you see someone that has the same characteristics, Genius type or very smart, very unhappy, hear things from him that make you suspect they may blow one day, hates the USA and school system even though straight As and talented? Thinks they are smarter than psychologists, because in many areas they may be on many levels, so won't get counseling but seem like a total nut case. If they have not shot anyone (yet) or don't have a record like James Holmes did not, then what do you do? If you report them to the cops, what happens? They have not done anything. What if they have no mental health coverage? What happens if you could talk them into actually going somewhere to seek help, but no one will see because no way to pay? If they are the Genius type, can they be helped in these lower class neighborhoods with volunteer clinic workers? I do know someone like this that really seems depressed and could be dangerous and ' blow up ' in the future, but what do you do about that if you think that? If you report them, maybe an uncle, cousin, friend or co worker, what would they get picked up for? How do you stop this without mental health coverage or who do you call? Can you make a seriously depressed Genius get help from someone smart enough to talk with them on their level of academic success that is free help? or , in this scenario, I can see how people just go on with their lives not knowing what to do, and the person ends up blowing up a building. Where and who to go to for help? Can you make a seriously depressed Genius get help from someone smart enough to talk with them on their level of academic success that is free help? If they do get help from someone somewhere somehow, does this then go on their record and later come up on a background check for jobs? I know, least of your worries, though relatives would be reluctant to turn someone in that straight A genius that has no record, thinking this person is just going through a ' Genius' thing and could contribute so much to the world, but look at what happened to James Holmes and he obviously had potential that went crazy. Where do you go for help in Metro Detroit Michigan for a 23 year old male?
Update:He is not going to kill himself tonight or this week, but will at some point and made this very clear. Also, like the nut in the theater, don't know if he will take other out with him. He has been to some counseling, I thought a good one, but he was smarter than they were, the counselor even said he was a genius. I'm not saying he is smart about life, just like this movie theater guy was a science genius top of class at the University etc. but obviously crazy. So, to report to the police at this moment, that would do nothing, he has not done anything and would deny it if asked anyway. If I knew there was a smart counselor, I could probably get him to meet them, even under duress, but I have never seen anyone that smart at the free clinics. Where would you have sent the movie theater shooter, a PHD science guy? To a free clinic in the poor part of town? He was probably smarter also, except of course he was crazy. I don't think he had money either. He couldn't g

OK,
I live nowhere near Metro Detroit Michigan, but here's the deal:
First of all, unless he has threatened to harm himself or somebody else, you can't force a person to seek mental health treatment. Since I don't know what your friend has said or done, it's hard to say for sure what would happen if you tried to report him to the police. Just because he doesn't have mental health coverage, doesn't mean that he wouldn't be able to seek treatment if he was willing to go. I sincerely hope that if your friend is as troubled as you say, that you can convince him to seek help. There are a lot of very smart and talented clinicians in the mental health profession, so meeting his level of academic success isn't necessarily a problem- you just have to do a little research and see who might be a good fit for your friend. There are several options if your friend is willing; does he go to school? Most schools have their own counseling centers that are free of charge to their students. If this doesn't apply, then I would suggest that you do a search for community mental health clinics in your area. These clinics offer services to clients on a free or sliding scale based fee. Sliding scale fee takes into account how much your friend makes, and bases the charges off of this, and it is usually reasonable. As far as who to call, you should also look into crisis hotlines in your area. These are free and are available 24/7 if your friend is in immediate need. You could also call and ask them this question and they will provide you with free or low-cost options in your area. The help is out there; you just have to make sure your friend is willing to accept it.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
This exchange into kinda already carried out. in case you watch the action picture Doom, with Karl city and The Rock, there's a 5 minute sequence in there that is finished in FPS variety. It genuinely makes me looking forward to what Doom 4 might look like. i do no longer think of they could make an entire action picture that way, yet if you consider that little sequence exchange into cool. via the way, the video exchange into no longer undesirable. genuinely choose greater appropriate kit, and maybe a human enemy :P
