Typically four to ten weeks after birth for women who are not breastfeeding. When you next have a check-up with the doctor you could do a test to put your mind at ease, but five weeks is still early days so no need to fret yet.
If breastfeeding, you might not get your period for many months, which is yet another of the many benefits :)
Anything up to 12 weeks after childbirth is normal for your period to return. I was getting worried myself after I had my son but my period came after about 11 weeks. Although me and my husband used condoms up until that point, and then arranged for a long term method of contraception. You will still be very fertile after giving birth so if you are not wanting another baby so soon you really need to think about using some sort of protection, it may even be too late. I would suggest taking a test if you haven't got your period by 12 weeks after the birth of your child.
So, your having unprotected sex and your not on birth control.... sounds to me like you want to get pregnant again.
And also, you are not meant to have sex until AFTER your 6 week post natal check up. You can do serious damage if you are not healed fully and have sex. Only the doctor can see if you are healed and they will give you the ok.
Thats sad. How can u think ur pregnant again so soon? If u are thats for sure a record.u literally havnt given urself time to heal. u havnt even had ur 6 week checkup. Who in there right mind would get right back pregnant?
